Getting Started

Art Literacy Coordinators (2)
Training provided by BSD. Coordinate with teachers to identify dates and times for art lessons. Schedule volunteers.  Assemble materials and classroom kits. Teach Art Lit lessons as needed.

Art Literacy Volunteers (10-15)
Present lessons to classrooms and supervise student art projects. Lessons are approximately once a month for 1 hour. Training and all materials provided. You do not need to be an artist or understand art history. Art Lit volunteers learn along with our students!

Walk and Bike Event Coordinator (1)
Show up before school on event dates and pass out prizes to students. This task takes place between 7 and 8 AM, 2-4 times per year. Students and siblings can be with you.

Organize Staff Meals (1-2)
Organize meals for Elmonica staff during conferences; create sign-up sheets for volunteers; decorate/set-up/clean-up with volunteer help. This task takes place 2-3 times/year.

Dine Out Fundraisers (1) Online/At Home task!

Complete online forms to coordinate dining out dates at local restaurants. Distribute flyers to promote events and follow-up to make sure we receive payment. Our goal is 6 dine out events each year. We can provide a list of past restaurants and schedules.

Jog-a-Thon Committee (2-4)
Many tasks can be shared between September and October. Help assemble fundraising packets; collect t-shirt sizes; solicit business sponsors; collect donations; distribute prizes.

Connect with Elmonica.PTOVolunteer@gmail.com to sign up for these important roles!
